Which codes are supported today?
AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2025 (Tables 6.6 + 6.8 essential variables fully encoded), ASME BPV Section IX (QW-251 essential-variable cells across SMAW/SAW/GMAW/FCAW/GTAW including QW-403 base metal, QW-404 filler, QW-406 preheat, QW-407 PWHT, QW-408 gas, QW-409 electrical), and AWS D1.6:2017 stainless (filler-family matching, austenitic interpass cap, GTAW back-purge essentials). AWS D1.5 bridge, D1.2 aluminum, and API 1104 are on the roadmap.
Do PQRs (Procedure Qualification Records) get their own workflow?
Yes. Record the actual test-weld parameters, attach tensile / bend / CVN specimen results, log the witnessing inspector and lab accreditation, and the PDF assembles automatically. Each PQR links to every WPS it supports, and supporting-PQR linkage is shown on the WPS detail page. Reuses the qualified envelope when the rule engine validates new WPSs.
How do I get audit-ready for an AISC or AHJ visit?
One click. The Audit Packet button on the WPS dashboard bundles every current-revision WPS, every PQR, every Welder Performance Qualification, and every NDE report into a signed-PDF ZIP with folder structure and a contents manifest. Hand the auditor a USB drive and walk away.
Can I import my existing welder roster?
Yes — paste a CSV at /welders/import with name, stamp number, employee ID, employer, email, phone, and hire date. Only "name" is required. The qualification matrix builds itself from the records you add after that.
Does the AI invent code numbers?
No. The deterministic rule engine returns every threshold from the encoded code tables. The LLM is forbidden from inventing values from Tables 6.6 / 6.8 / QW-251. If a numeric value appears in the draft narrative without a citation, it came from a CWI input — never from the model.
Who signs the WPS / PQR / WPQ?
Your Certified Welding Inspector, welding engineer, or QC manager. The tool is a co-pilot, not autonomous. Every PDF includes signature blocks with credential type and credential number fields.
How is this different from WeldOffice / WeldAssistant / WPS Maker?
Four things: (1) AI-drafted narratives — they are still pure rule-based form fills; (2) cloud / browser-only — they are desktop installs with USB dongles; (3) one-click audit packet ZIP that bundles every signed document; (4) transparent pricing published on this page (theirs requires a quote). They have 20+ years of code breadth — we lead on AI, deployment, audit defense, and pricing.
Is my PQR + welder data confidential? Where does it live?
Your WPS, PQR, WPQ, and NDE records live in your organization’s isolated Postgres rows on Supabase (US-East-1). Row-level security policies prevent any other organization from reading them. We never train models on customer data. AI calls to Claude are stateless and not retained by Anthropic per our enterprise terms.
What is the trial?
14 days of full Pro features, no credit card required. Drafts, PQRs, welder rosters, NDE reports, audit packets — all unlocked. At day 14 you choose a plan or downgrade to read-only access. 14-day money-back guarantee on the first paid month.
How accurate is the AI? Can it replace a CWI?
No, and we do not pretend it can. The AI drafts narrative sections; the deterministic rule engine catches essential-variable issues; a CWI reads, edits, and signs. Where AI saves time: 80% of WPS text is boilerplate that varies predictably with process, filler, and base metal. We automate that. Code-numeric thresholds always come from the rule engine, never the LLM.
